:: About Anime Toshokan ::
Anime Toshokan is a community driven group that tries to help promote all things Japanese culture in terms of anime, manga, games, doujin, & music. Anime Toshokan was first established back in 1999 by its creator & founder MikuruX (back then, Mikuru went through many different names). During that time, the site was under the name “Katsuhiko Jinna’s Humble Anime Home” and has been on many free webhosting platforms back in the day such as Homestead, Geocities, Talkcity, Xoom, & many more. From then, this group would go through a name change to “AIC World” where we became mostly a fan group dedicated to all things related to AIC anime (Anime International Company, the company responsible for anime such as Tenchi Muyo, El-Hazard, Battle Athletes, Bubblegum Crisis, Ah! Megami-sama, etc.). In 2002, the group would go through its final name change to what it is today. The group mission hasn’t changed in the near 30 years since this group creation. Many members have come and gone but MikuruX is still the brain behind this site and the group.

MikuruX (real name: Michael Anderson), is the owner, creator, & founder of Anime Toshokan which he first established back in 1998 while in high school. Born in Alabama, USA, MikuruX originally developed the first iterations of Anime Toshokan using self-taught basic HTML and has since started developing this site using CMS (Content Management Systems) for the purpose of automating functions on the site and to spend less time developing it but instead to work on content. Since the creation of Anime Toshokan, MikuruX has had many encounters with different people from all walks of the world…both personal & professionally.
