Anime Toshokan Inc. is a non-profit news & review community database website that strives to spread the awareness of anime, manga, video games (mostly those with the anime aesthetic but is not limited to), Japanese & Asian pop culture, & much more. This was first opened under its original iteration back in 1998 as “Katsuhiko Jinnai’s Humble Anime Home” by its creator & founder “MikuruX (originally went by the name Katsuhiko Jinnai) where the site was formed on such services as Geocities, Xoom, Talkcity, Homestead, & others. This site was formed as a passion homepage high school project and has since evolved into more than what was originally envisioned as the years gone by. The other name this website has gone by over the years was “AIC World”. This was the last iteration before being rebranded as Anime Toshokan.
Anime Toshokan’s name inspiration comes from the manga & anime series Kokoro Toshokan.
ABOUT THE FOUNDER
MikuruX (real name: Michael Anderson), is the owner, creator, & founder of Anime Toshokan which he first established back in 1998 while in high school. Born in Alabama, USA, MikuruX originally developed the first iterations of Anime Toshokan using self-taught basic HTML and has since started developing this site using CMS (Content Management Systems) for the purpose of automating functions on the site and to spend less time developing it but instead to work on content.
