Hololive’s A-Chan Retires

When one think of Cover Corp. & Hololive and those who help make the company and group what it is today, people refer to the three pillars of the agency: CEO Motoaki Tanigo (aka YAGOO), Hololives first talent Tokino Sora, & Sora's best friend and head manager of the agency who goes by the name "Friend A" or better known as "A-Chan". It's hard to think of a Hololive without any of these three people at the helm.....well, today fans of the agency, the talents, and staff are about to find out as today, A-Chan has announced that she will be leaving Cover Corp. & Hololive effective at the end of June this year.

Announced on X (formally known as Twitter) on the official Hololive Productions accounts and by A-chan herself, press release was made announcing her departure from the company as the reasons for it were family health related. Prior to this announcement, A-Chan has been on hiatus for three months starting back in April of this year. It was originally intended for her to return this month in which fans of her were eagerly awaiting but instead were met with the sad news that she will be leaving the company after 7 years of service.

Being one of the founding memebers of Hololive, A-chan was a manager but to the fandom, she was more like the secret idol of Hololive as she also had her own Live2D model, 3D model, and appeared in various streams and media from Cover Corp. & Hololive to the point that the official Hololive Productions Youtube channel was basically her own channel. In the same aspects of graduated talent Kiryuu Coco, A-Chan was also bilingual in both Japanese & English and helped bridge the gap from the JP & EN audience from the staff side of Hololive to the fans. Regarded and highly respected by all the talents, staff, CEO, & the fandom, A-Chan is left with a plethora of farewell messages from all aspects of the vtuber community…..from indies & other corporate talents alike, A-Chan is well loved in the community and will be highly missed when she leaves. Harusaki Nodoka, a staff member of Hololive and A-Chan’s junior, will assume the role and duties of A-Chan as she departs from the company.

From everyone here at Anime Toshokan, we would like to thank A-Chan for her 7 years of service at Cover Corp. & Hololive for all of her contributions that helped make the company what it is today. We’ll miss you and we hope we’ll get to see you again someday in the future in another stream or so (yes, this is thoughtful wishing on our part). Till then A-Chan, take care of your business and we hope everything goes well in your future endeavors.
