The Japanese vtuber Minato Aqua, a member of Hololive’s 2nd Generation, has announced that she will be graduating from the agency on August 28, 2024. The person behind the vtuber broke the news by hosting a small announcement stream on her Youtube channel. Hololive Productions would later confirm the talent’s departure and announce that she will hold her graduation live concert on August 28, 2024.

Minato Aqua made her debut on August 8, 2018 as part of Hololive’s 2nd generation alongside with Murasaki Shion, Nakiri Ayame, Yuzuki Choco, & Oozaru Subaru. This announcement comes just 2 days before her 6th anniversary. During her time with Hololive, Aqua has left her mark within the gaming sphere with feats such as appearing in Sword Art Online: Last Recollection (via free title update) and the visual novel Aquarium, in which Aqua stars in herself.
Minato Aqua will be the 3rd talent in Hololive’s history to formally leave the agency – albeit she leaves the company with no issues within the last remaining days she’s there. According to Hololive’s Alumni records, she will follow behind talents such as Hololive Generation 4 talent Kiryuu Coco and Hololive English Generation 2 – Council talent Tsukumo Sana, who graduated on July 1, 2021 & July 31, 2022 respectively.
