Hello everyone! This is MikuruX, founder & owner of Anime Toshokan Inc.
As you can see, the A-T website has now been fully updated and reconstructed using WordPress as our new CMS moving forward and away from our previous CMS “Invision Power Board”. The reasoning for the change – as we’ve stated in our facebook post and in our Discord server – is due to maintenance costs skyrocketing to a point where we I can’t keep up with it no more. Because of this, I decided to destroy the site – yet again – to start it anew this is the iteration we’ve come up with. As for what has come with this change, we are now pleased to announce that this site is now a true anime, manga, seiyuu, idol database. As the time goes by, we’ll be adding more data to our database as we go along. Things will be rather scuffed but we hope our community will help us as we continue to get better. Now as for what has been removed from this site from the changes, because our previous CMS was mostly a community forum CMS, our forums are gone for good (we have a backup of all the data prior to its deletion so if we ever want to go back, we can). With that CMS goes all of its wonderful plugins that gave us the following functions on this site:
- Anime Toshokan AniTube: A Youtube inspired section where we hosted our own videos and such on our own Youtube like website
- Music Player database which allowed us to upload music onto our site for your listening enjoyment
- Community Image Gallery
- Community Clubs
- Tournament Bracket maker: This allowed us to host our own tournament brackets and such for our website (Kinda like Start.gg or Challonge)
I’m hoping that one day I can find something that will allow us to bring them back but until then, we’ll have to make with what we have right now. With that being said, we welcome you all to the new Anime Toshokan. Again, you can find us on our Discord if you are interested in helping us or getting to know us.
