Nijisanji Addresses The Selen Tatsuki Situation

AnyColor CEO, Riku Tazumi, has officially gone to Youtube to stream and give a statement about the current situation involving Anycolor & former Nijisanji EN talent Selen Tatsuki (aka: Dokibird).

It’s been a week since the whole situation involving ANYCOLOR, the parent company of vtuber agency Nijisanji, and the recent termination of Nijisanji EN talent Selen Tatsuki – who now goes by her past life persona Dokibird.

ANYCOLOR released a video on Youtube titled “Addressing Your Concerns” on February 13 in which the CEO, Riku Tazumi, appears in the video, apologizing for the problems surrounding NijisanjiEN and explaining in English what the company future plans going forward after these events (video provided below).

On February 5, ANYCOLOR announced the contact termination of their NijisanjiEN talent Selen Tatsuki due to repeated contract violations of their Activity Policy. On February 7, the company announced to shareholders that the termination of the contact would have on their financial results would be “negligible.” This was met with harshly criticized by overseas vtuber fans, who said, “They were disrespecting Selen.”

CEO Tazumi apologized in the video, saying that the announcement to shareholders “was a misleading expression. By using the expression “extremely slight,” I made many people feel that I underestimated the impact of the termination of the contract with Selen Tatsuki and Selen Tatsuki herself. We deeply regret this outcome and will reconsider how we communicate in English,” he continued. He also mentioned that there was a suggestion that ANYCOLOR may not be providing an environment that can maintain the mental health of its livers. He said that the company takes full responsibility for the slanderous messages being sent to its livers and apologized for caus9ing this situation. He also asked the audience to “understand that there are some livers who have temporarily stepped back from social networking sites.”

Regarding the lack of other content for NijisanjiEN, he stated, “We have been working hard over the past year on recruiting and other efforts,” and explained that the company will continue to work on providing new content. He stated that he would continue to support NijisanjiEN’s performers and order to meet the expectations of its fans.

This statement comes minutes after Elira Pandora, Vox Akuma, & Ike Eveland – NijisanjiEN’s current top talents – went on stream to give a statement about the whole situation from their point of view. Fans perception of this stream are not positive as many felt that the talents were throwing Selen under the bus and this felt as if this was a PR shield for the company to not take responsibility for the current situation (video provided below – this was all done on a black screen).
