Shueisha has confirmed that production has started for a movie in the Chainsaw Man series titled “Chainsaw Man the Movie: Reze Arc” at the Jumpe Festa 2024. A new website dedicated to the new movie has also gone live. It’s also been confirmed that Studio MAPPA, the studio that also produced the 2022 TV anime adaptation of Chainsaw Man, is working on this movie. A new teaser trailer has been uploaded onto the MAPPA Youtube channel which can be viewed below.
Chainsaw Man originated as manga series by its author Tatsuki Fujimoto which was published in Weekly Shonen Jump back in December 2018 to December 2020. A new part to the manga series launched in Shonen Jump+ back in July 2022, and is still ongoing as of December 2023. An anime TV adaptation of the series aired in October 2022 and ran for a total of twelve episodes. Chainsaw Man can currently being streamed on Crunchyroll.
