The official facebook page for Alabama’s largest anime convention, Kami-con, has announced that Kson, one of – if not – the most known Vtuber (Virtual Youtuber) from the US Vtuber talent agency VShojo, is to appear as one of many special guests for this years convention. The official Kami-con website has also posted her listing as a guest on their site as well as details as to who Kson is, for those attending the con or don’t know who she is.
“Good Morning Mother…” Oh Goodness! VShojo’s Kson is coming LIVE and IN PERSON to Kami-Con! Kson is an American-Japanese streamer as well as one of the most popular Vtubers on the YouTube/Twitch platforms. She has a rich and indispensable history for Vtubers as a whole, and we are all grateful for the work she has done to revolutionize the industry.
On top of releasing original songs, streaming content, and collaborations with other celebrities, Kson has recently won the Yakuza series Grand Prix hostess contest, allowing her to appear in the Yakuza “Like a Dragon” game series.
She will be hosting live panels and meet and greets on Friday and Saturday of the convention. The meet and greets will be limited to 30 individuals each day and can be purchased in limited numbers below.

This will mark the first major agency Vtuber to attend the convention but Kson is not the first Vtuber to appear as an official guest for the convention. Lucius Merryweather & Lumi from the Merryweather Media, which now has their own Vtuber group called Astraline, were the first to appear at the convention along with Lost Pause (he has streamed as a Vtuber but has since bounced between himself & his Vtuber self).
Kami-Con 2024 (formally called Kami-Con Season 15) marks the 15th year that this convention has been active within the state, starting back to its humble beginnings at Alabama University in Tuscaloosa, AL but was later relocated to this day at the BJCC Convention Center in Birmingham, AL. Kami-Con Season 15 is scheduled to begin on February 9 – 11, 2024.
